Irradiated Cable

Irradiated cables are a new product developed to improve the safety of people in fires, with a focus on reducing the amount of smoke and toxicity released by cables that are heated or burned.

Wire and cable products manufactured using radiation cross-linking technology. Irradiated cables can be produced in various types such as power cables, control cables, and household wiring. Irradiated cables are newly developed products aimed at enhancing human safety during fires, with a focus on reducing the amount and toxicity of smoke released by heated or burning cables. Numerous fire statistics indicate that approximately 80% of fire-related fatalities are caused by toxic smoke. To meet the urgent market demand for cables and product upgrades, Henan Pacific Wire & Cable has developed safe and clean irradiated cables, also known as radiation cross-linked cables. The overall performance of this product is close to international standards, meeting the high requirements for cables.

 

Product Features
1. It has excellent mechanical and physical properties, good environmental stress cracking resistance, and superior wear resistance, being able to withstand concentrated mechanical stress better than PV and PE.
2. Resistant to various chemical solvents and relatively stable in surrounding corrosive media.
3. The outer diameter of irradiated cables is smaller than that of full PVC insulated wires with the same cross-sectional specification. This allows for the use of smaller pipe diameters during conduit installation or the accommodation of more wires under the same pipe diameter, thereby reducing construction and installation costs.
4. Irradiated cables are much lighter than PVC-insulated wire products, making them easier to install and transport, reducing labor intensity and transportation costs.
5. The long-term working high rated temperature of irradiated cables can reach 125℃, and their ampacity is greater than that of PVC insulated wires.
6. It does not release corrosive or toxic gases during combustion, avoiding secondary hazards, and meets modern fire safety requirements as a new eco-friendly product.
7. Excellent electrical properties, with insulation resistance much higher than that of PVC wires (cables), and dielectric loss almost unaffected by temperature changes.
